Showroom assistant

 

The showroom assistant will help the salespeople and managers with a variety of tasks in the showroom and with outside deliveries and pick-ups. He or she will be well groomed and behave/communicate in a professional manner in all ways while on the job. The assistants’ wardrobe must be clean, well kept, and flexible enough to do both physical work and office/showroom work. Khakis and a button up shirt for men or blouse for women are appropriate.

 

Shipping and Receiving assistant

Assist with and help record all packages in and out of the showroom. Help identify whom the package is for on incoming freight. Assist with the proper wrapping and labeling of packages for shipment out of the showroom.

 

Assistant to the Inventory Manager

Help the Inventory Manager keep track of showroom inventory, including bi- annual inventory count.

 

Sales Assistant

Assist salespeople in “flipping rugs”, pulling down samples, or other tasks as directed by the salespeople.

 

Delivery Assistant

Travel with Salespeople to client’s homes or offices to help deliver and spread area rugs.

 

Samples and Merchandising Assistant

Assist with identifying, re-labeling, and merchandising the samples in our showroom. Assist with constructing, re-arranging, and maintaining showroom displays of both carpeting and area rugs.

 

Pricing Data Entry

Learn to enter pricing for new products and update the pricing or availability of existing products in our computer.

 

General Showroom Maintenance

Help keep showroom organized, clean, and well lit. This will include dumping trash, vacuuming, changing light bulbs, replacing samples and area rugs, general cleaning and dusting, and other tasks as directed by the salespeople.
